- Homemade allergy-free bread, or store bought, or gluten-free pretzels
- Egg substitute (and doubled the amount)
- Used roasted red pepper, and it was outstanding
- Extra Worcestershire
- Extra honey (and maybe a little brown sugar)
- To really glaze it, cook the last 10 minutes on 450 F, or broil it for a few minutes on a higher rack
